The Diocesan Youth Council met on Saturday in the Inman Hall at the Cathedral Complex. Khetha Dube (Tongaat) and Pearl Nzuza (Umhlali) represented the north coast region.
The meeting began with praise and worship and prayer, with all delegates being welcomed by the DYC chair-person. Reports were presented on each region, with some discussion on the role of regional youth chaplains. Bishop Rubin was thanked for involving young people in the recent synod, where their voice was heard.
Some big plans are in the pipeline at a diocesan level in 2012 for a youth conference and youth leader’s training. Our region will be called upon to play our part!
